VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE

STUDIO M4 TRANSFORMA

Volunteer as a collaborator in the development of the designs and as a workforce executing the renovations, painting walls, making furniture, decorations, cleaning, and organizing the rooms chosen for the interventions. StudioM4 Transforma is a volunteer work created by StudioM4 Arquitetura, an architectural office in Brasilia, Brazil to renovate one chosen room with the intention of demonstrating the importance and impact architecture has in people’s lives. There are four seasons with four episodes each in the StudioM4’s YouTube channel. I have participated since the first season in 2018.

Our role was a vital component of a broader mission and vision to create a CwB community that is led by the Don team and creates an environment, network, program, and culture that meets the complex and diverse needs of CwB students; including, housing, socialization, culture shock, homesickness, academics, English language development, inter-culture learning and development, knowledge of Toronto, etc. The creation of the CwB community is primarily committed to the well-being of CwB students and to nurturing, encouraging, and supporting their personal and academic goals as well as creating an environment where students can continue to explore and develop these goals.
